NeoTribes Brazil Experience

Neotribalism. How acquainted are you with this movement? Have you already heard of it? I had not until I attended a 4-day retreat to discuss the new tribes that are emerging from our society (where not only the flow of resources but also solutions are limited and scarce) to engage themselves in a more fluid and abundant way of living.

Neotribes movement is a very special global project that has been evolving for almost a year, and its first edition was launched in Brazil last December 2015. The movement has been designed by a multicultural tribe whose members are from Brazil, Germany, France, and the United States. They are inviting people to let go their egocentrism in order to make room for a change that will nurture a more systemic view about the processes that characterise the interrelationships between men, nature and businesses. In doing so, people are supposed to explore how actions, such as those promoted by Airbnb and Uber, are being organised all over the world with the only purpose of bringing forth more richness and sustainable abundance to our lives
.

It is a movement that will essentially appeal to people who are feeling uneasy with this business model in which only financial income is used to measure success and viability. On the contrary, those people strongly FEEL something beyond economic values must be taken into account to make it worthwhile. They usually have a heartedly clear purpose rooted with truth and in tune with personal values, feelings, and principles that will naturally motivate them to keep on track and do not give up.

Although many times we may feel hopeless about future, I truly believe that the turning point has already been achieved. Movements like NeoTribes are a real proof that people are eagerly looking to engage in projects that make sense to them and places where they can recognise they belong to. I myself feel hopeful and optimistic about what is coming ahead, and just to encourage you even more I would like to cite the designer Buckminster Fuller who says we will never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, we need to build a new model that makes the existing one obsolete.

If you liked what you just read here, do not miss the opportunity to join the NeoTribes events that will be held still in 2016 in France, Germany, and US. Let spread the word and get down to work. Welcome!!!
