GOOD FRIENDS for good!!!

Hello people.
How are things?

Here I am again and, after enjoying an amazing weekend with some of my friends in the south of Brazil, I have chosen to write about good friends. Not only because one of them asked me to write something about it, but also because having spent some quality time with them made me think of the importance of friendship in life.

Specially nowadays, making good friends, not just acquaintances, and keeping them as time goes by is not a piece of cake. I mean, reconciling our precious time among family, works, studies, and friends requires a bit of attention and effort. For me, this has nothing to do with how long ago we first met them, nor with whether we keep in touch every day or belong to the same tribe. It is just a matter of getting along with him or her. We do not even need to justify our choices. It is simple like that.

I believe that "being friends" is simply characterized by the fact that we are open to hear from them without any prejudice. We sympathize with the idea of sharing opinions and experiences with people we trust, the ones we have chosen throughout our life. Friends make us feel special and they are definitely irreplaceable. Sometimes we do not have so much in common, but in spite of that we feel like catching up with one another from time to time. It is comforting to come to know how they are; how things are going on in their lives. Just because we care about them, we simply wish the best for them. And, what is more relevant in all of it, is that, in doing this, we do not want anything in return. Just a smile is enough to reciprocate all the care and affection spent in this kind of relationship.

Personally speaking, good friends make our lives brighter and softer. It does not matter whether we are going through tough moments or we are celebrating a new achievement. Whenever we stand by our good friends, we will always find this trustful place which we can luckily count on. It does depend neither on race, skin color, beliefs nor interests. And yes, it depends on how much we feel committed and tempted to dedicate thoughts, words, smiles and care to them.

Do you agree with me? Is there anything you would like to say? I would appreciate to know your point of view. See you soon :)
